InnoEXC GmbH is a Swiss-based Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) that serves as a premium consultancy and strategic partner for innovation management. Founded with the mission to bridge the gap between breakthrough scientific research and market-ready industrial applications, InnoEXC operates at the intersection of academia, industry, and governmental bodies. The firm is a key player in the European research landscape, particularly known for its expertise in coordinating and managing multi-partner consortia under the Horizon Europe and Eurostars programs.
As of 2026, InnoEXC has solidified its reputation through four primary service pillars:
Project Management & Coordination: The firm provides professional administrative, financial, and technical management for large-scale international research projects. InnoEXC ensures that consortia meet the rigorous compliance and reporting standards of the European Commission.
Innovation & Exploitation Strategy: A critical strength of InnoEXC is its “Lab-to-Market” approach. The company develops robust exploitation plans, conducts market analysis, and defines business models to ensure that R&D results lead to commercial success and social impact.
Dissemination and Communication: InnoEXC manages the strategic communication of research findings, ensuring high visibility among scientific communities, policymakers, and the general public.
Proposal Engineering: The firm assists researchers and SMEs in designing high-quality grant applications, focusing on the “Impact” and “Implementation” sections, which are often the most challenging aspects of EU funding.
InnoEXC demonstrates a versatile portfolio, with significant experience in high-tech and sustainability-driven sectors:
Advanced Materials & Nanotechnology: Collaborating on projects involving functional coatings, smart materials, and sustainable polymers (often in synergy with institutes like CNR-IPCB).
Health & MedTech: Managing projects related to innovative diagnostics, biocompatible materials, and digital health solutions.
Green Energy & Circular Economy: Supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy through projects focused on resource efficiency and waste valorization.
As an SME itself, InnoEXC understands the specific challenges faced by smaller enterprises in accessing international funding. By acting as an Innovation Broker, it reduces the administrative burden on technical partners, allowing them to focus on core research while InnoEXC handles the strategic and operational overhead. In the 2025–2027 Work Programmes, InnoEXC has been particularly active in fostering SME-heavy consortia, promoting regional competitiveness across Switzerland and the EU.
In response to the EU Green Deal and the New European Innovation Agenda, InnoEXC is expanding its services into Intellectual Property (IP) Management and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) support, ensuring that the innovations it manages are not only technologically superior but also environmentally and legally sustainable.
