Enhancement of crystallization kinetics of poly (L-lactic acid) via peroxide-initiated melt reaction with triallyl phosphate

📣 We are proud to share the first peer-reviewed publication from the BORN – EIC Pathfinder project, jointly authored by researchers from Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche and Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan.

🧪 The study focuses on accelerating the crystallization of poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA), addressing a key challenge for its processing and thermal performance.

🔬 Major results: tailored strategies significantly enhance PLLA crystallization kinetics and enable higher crystallinity, paving the way for faster processing and improved performance of bio-based polymer materials.

This is an important first step towards BORN’s vision of high-performance, sustainable packaging materials. 🌱
