Alessandra Longo presented BORN latest research results on “Tuning PLLA Crystallization Kinetics via Reactive Extrusion Branching Strategies.”
This work, jointly carried out at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche and Poznan University of Technology, shows how long-chain branching can enhance PLLA crystal nucleation, offering a promising route to overcome key limitations such as slow crystallization and poor thermal resistance.

A valuable step toward high-performance, thermal-resistant bioplastics for reusable and biodegradable food packaging.
